Hey, all. I've been.... really.... distracted lately, so I'm sorry this took so long to announce! Apologies for that; working sucks and so does just about everything else. *lol*
Anyway! The first doujinshi contest didn't go as well as I had hoped, alas. This has dulled my enthusiasm for contests a little, so there will be one when I think of a better way to do it that might get people more involved. *sigh* Ah well, can't win em all, eh? I did get three lovely entries, however, so thank you to you guys who entered. :D

Just a fast reminder about our contest--- the deadline for entries is next Wednesday, June 21st. As of yet, there haven't been any entries.... so if only one of you enters, you'd win by default. :x
So get your entries in, if you want a shot at winning our prize!
Also, apologies for the lack of updates. I'll have a few days off work this week, and I will post at least one new review then. Promise. |

| A public post about our first contest! |

Hey, everyone!
This is just a reminder about our first contest here on Bon Bon Doujin. We are having an art contest revolving around the Kyoh♥Tohru and Yuki♥Tohru pairings of Natsuki Takaya's manga, Fruits Basket. Our prize is a copy of White Gem (Mitsuki Yayoi)'s second furuba doujinshi, Lovely. The contest ends on June 21st, 2006! All the details about entering and rules are available on our friends-only post regarding the contest goings on here.

A review of the book as well as sample interior scans are available to those added as friends to this journal.
If you're interested in joining in for our contests, or our reviews, you gotta be added as a friend! Our proceedure is that you must comment on our first post and let us know you would like to be friended. Otherwise, we will overlook you; I, for one, only log into this LJ account to add people when I get a notification of a comment in my email. So go here and comment saying you'd like to be added if you're interested, otherwise we probably won't even notice! We HAVE to have you friended for you to participate in our contests!
Any questions or comments can be emailed to me at the following address, or left as comments on the appropriate entries.
Expect some new reviews soon; I have a lot of work to do. My collection has almost reached 100!

Hello to all the newcomers from ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) fruits_basket! Nice to see you all!
As most of you may have noticed, not -all- our reviews will be furuba related. However, a vast majority of them will be once we get this thing a little better off the ground. :D I have about 50 furuba books to review with another 20 or so coming in the mail. Out of the books I'm waiting on, I will be aquiring a couple of doubles, so this brings us to my next topic...
Do you want to WIN stuff??? Ha ha ha, who doesn't?
I'll be getting a few doubles in my doujinshi collection thanks to y!j auction lots. I figured that instead of selling them on ebay for a profit, I can find some way to spread the love and pass on copies of the books I already have to you guys! Gauranteed this will only pertain to furuba doujinshi, since it's really the only fandom I have enough books from to -get- doubles in the first place.... but yeah, I need your opinions. So please vote on the following poll, and if you have any comments or suggestions or the like, please leave a comment! Hello there, friends!
This journal will serve as means for myself and others to quickly and easily write reviews and information up on the books we have, so that other collectors/fans/interested parties can learn about the books. I know that a few times, I have bought books based simply on cover art, or because it was there, and it's turned out to be a letdown. So allow us to educate you on the ones we have, so that you know what you're looking at should you come across it (or anything by the same artist) in your doujinshi travels. We welcome all fandoms, and all doujinshi types! Some of our reviews may be pertaining to books that are for adults. In a case such as this, no sexually explicit scans will be displayed, for the sake of the younger viewers of the journal.
Please note that this journal is NOT for complete scans of books! We will be scanning covers and select interior pages for sample only! I have also made this journal a FRIENDS ONLY venture, just to hopefully slim down any chances of people stealing scans for things other than what they were intended for. Comment on this post and friend the journal, and we shall friend you back so that you can get in on the fun.
Please do not take our scans and use them elsewhere! Distributing our scans is unfair to us who own the books and to the artists who have drawn them. If you are found to be distributing our scans, you will be removed from the list. So please don't!
Project Status:
Currently, there are two members of the project; Meg and Jamie. If you collect doujinshi and would like to be in on the BonBon Doujinshi team, feel free to email me at meg(at)murderofcrows.org.
I will update this space more as the project moves along, and possibly more members are added.
